Rollo In London by Jacob Abbott (1803-1879). Jacob Abbott was a congregationalist minister who was perhaps the most influential and prolific author of children's books in the mid-19th century.
Mr. Abbott’s writing was intended to teach the young readers about ethics, geography, history, and science. This book is from a series which is about a twelve-year old boy, Rollo and his travels.
The front of the book is worn and the back. The back pages have signs of wear. The pages are in very good condition. What is very interesting about this book is in the front of the book there is a list of principal persons of the story. (Copyright 1854 -- first printing was 1855) THIS IS A VERY RARE FIND.
