Today's Reflection-Winnie-the-Pooh

October 13, 2016

While I was doing inventory this past weekend, I came across three Winnie-the-Pooh book journals. Seeing these brought me back to my childhood readings and the inspirational quotations found in Pooh books. This idea of “Body, Mind, and Spirit” has been around a long time, so why does it seem like a novice idea? Through the years, we have never stopped searching for our serenity.

What began this thought is the powerful quotation in Winnie: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That’s why we call it the present.” It has taken me a long time to forget my past of anger, disappointment, and unachieved dreams. Now these things have no place in my life.

I can dream about tomorrow, but I never know what will come. I have learned to live the present to the fullest with calmness and mindfulness. How in the world has this cartoon Bear from over 90 years ago found such meaning for me today? Because that search is timeless.

We currently have three Winnie-the-Pooh book journals perfect for you to begin or continue your journaling experience.          Barbara A. Sam
