Create a Holiday Gathering Journal

Life is like changing seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer, always in motion.

During the upcoming holiday season: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, I invite you to create a Holiday Gathering Journal with your family and friends.

I suggest selecting a journal and placing your gathering journal in an area where the writer can sit quietly in a chair. Have a pen, a dictionary, a candle, and a book of wisdom on hand. Of course, get creative by adding props that fit your style.

Ask your guest if during their visit they would write in the journal something such as a new job, travel, something or someone who made an impact on their life, gratitude, or whatever works for your gathering.

Whether these entries are read aloud, or you let your guests read them quietly is your choice.

Finally, let's include the little ones with crayons, colored pencils, and stickers. Don’t forget to have them date their entries.
